We follow the guidelines set by https://hypixel.net/threads/guide-allowed-modifications.345453/
Any specific modifications on this list were checked when added to make sure that they were allowed under the network rules. If a modification has been updated since it was listed here to include new or changed features, it may no longer be allowed.
Please also note that we would never approve modifications on request. If you are in doubt about whether or not a modification is allowed, check the allowed modification categories below. Please be aware that the use of any modification that provides an unfair advantage is not allowed. This includes any modification(s) made to your Minecraft client, computer, or mouse through the use of auto-click/burst clicking macros or buttons. Modifications which alter the way that your client sends data to the server are also strictly disallowed, even if they fall into an allowed category. Any other categories of modifications should be treated as disallowed.
Client performance improvement modifications
which have the main goal of improving client FPS (Frames Per Second). Typical examples include Optifine and BetterFPS.
Brightness and gamma adjustment modifications
which have the main goal of improving client FPS (Frames Per Second). Typical examples include Gamma and Brightness.
which change the visual appearance of the game to make it more aesthetically pleasing. Typical examples include Shader mod and its shader packs.
Armor and effect status modifications
which add armor and/or potion effects to the Minecraft GUI (Graphical User Interface), outside of the inventory. Typical examples include 5zig, BetterHud, ArmorHud, DirectionHud, Status Effect Hud, UHC Essentials. However, modifications that display the distance to a target, health of a target, or that give any indications of when a player/entity can hit you or when you can hit them are strictly prohibited.
Clients and modifications for pvp enhancement
- LabyMod Version 2.6 or above (without any unapproved add-ons)
- CPS, Ping, Keystrokes, or Coordinates add-ons for LabyMod
- CPS, Ping, Keystrokes, or Coordinates mods
- Any pvp animations mods
- Badlion client
*Only the aforementioned modifications for pvp are approved. You shall avoid using other unlisted mods and a 100% vanilla client is recommened.
which do not show entities (such as players, except yourself) or caves in any way.
which enable recording and playback of game-play, while also allowing for the changing of perspective during playback.
Any unlisted modifications
shall be pre-assumed as unapproved or disallowed. Modifications that would alter vanilla behaviour in the purpose of giving yourself unfair advantages shall be treated as inappropriate or illegal, and shall never be used in BattleAsya under any circumstances. Similarly, you are not advised to use any of the unlisted/unapproved modifications in-game, even though they might not be inducing any significant unfair advantages or altering any forms of vanilla minecraft behaviour. Use at your own risk if you insist to do so and remember to take your full responsibility when something bad has happened. For that reason, we strongly recommend a 100% vanilla client when ever possible. If you are punished with any reasons and at the same time you have at least one of these unlisted modifications installed, you are then obliged to bare full consequences and subsequently, we would refuse to handle your appeal.
Frequently Asked Questions
The answers below serves as a critical part of the rules.
Is XXXX modification allowed on the server?
All the allowed modifications are listed here. Any unlisted modifications shall be pre-assumed as unapproved. If the modification provides any form of advantages over other users then we strongly recommend removing it.
Will I ever be 100% sure that my modification(s) are safe?
No. For that reason, we recommend a 100% vanilla client when possible.
Can an admin tell me if a modification is allowed?
No. We never approve modifications on request. However we can refer you to our list of whitelisted modifications at http://rules.battleasya.com.
I have used modifications in the past, am I at risk of being banned?
Yes, as long as they are no longer installed and you are no longer using them on the server. But a No, if some modifications have found to tamper with .jar in your minecraft folder. Please make sure your minecraft client is clean.
If I have modifications installed but aren't actively using them, am I at risk?
Yes, you are! Some modifications interact with the server even if you aren't actively using them. Simply having them installed may be putting you at risk. Please consider to uninstall them.
I've used a 3rd-party program (such as "regedit") to change how my TCP settings work - will that be detected?
Yes, you might be at risk. if you are using it alongside other mods, a chain effect by a combination of mods could have been triggered and might provide your some unfair advantages. Our stance is still the same, it is not allowed, the safest way to be a legit player is just to not mess around with it. However, if you insist to use that, please use at your own risk.
How does the stat wipe system work?
Players that are caught for cheating might get their statistics wiped.
Does punishment differentiate between VIPs and non-VIPs?
No, justice is blind. It does not care if you are a VIP or non-VIP.
Will there be a screenshare?
In common practices, the government would rarely arrange a screenshare session. However, under certain circumstances, a staff might demand a particular player (usually a well-known member of the community) to participate in a screenshare session via Skype, AnyDesk or Discord when necessary. The players have to attend the session immediately, without leaving the server. If the player refuse to cooperate, giving invalid excuses or eventually leaving the server, in the purpose of avoiding a screenshare, he/she would then be considered as cheating.
